Frequently asked questions
What is a certified (sworn) translation?
It is a translation made by an authorised and sworn translator, who confirms with a stamp and signature that it is complete and accurate. Authorities, courts, universities and employers often require it.
Will my certified translation be accepted abroad, for example in the Czech Republic?
That depends on the institution that asks for it. Some accept it directly, others also require an apostille or legalisation of the original document. Tell us where it will be used and we will advise you before you order.
How do I get a price?
Use the Request a Quote form, upload your documents and tell us your deadline. We review them and send a quotation by email, usually within one working day. It is free and without obligation.
How long does a translation take?
It depends on length and complexity. A short certificate is often ready in one to two working days; longer documents take longer. The delivery date is stated in your quotation.
Are my documents safe?
Yes. Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection, stored encrypted, accessible only to the translator, and automatically deleted 30 days after your order is completed. We never share them with third parties.
In what format will I receive the translation?
Usually as a PDF by email. For certified translations we can also send the stamped and signed paper original by post or arrange pickup. Please tell us what you need in your request.
Can you translate a scanned or photographed document?
Yes, as long as it is clearly legible. Please upload the best-quality scan or photo you can, with all pages and stamps visible.
How do I pay?
After you accept the quotation, we arrange payment with you directly. Online payment is not required.
